SOME BY MI Super Matcha Pore Tightening Toner 150ml

SOME BY MI Super Matcha Pore Tightening Toner is a two-layer pore-care toner for oily and combination skin with visible pores and excess shine. SOME BY MI builds it on 83% matcha water (Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract), with a powder layer that settles at the bottom of the bottle.

How it works

According to SOME BY MI, the toner purifies, tightens and moisturises pores. The brand states 50,000ppm (5%) of naturally derived BHA, which comes from willow bark extract rather than added salicylic acid, to help dissolve dead skin cells without irritation. The powder layer, which SOME BY MI calls Sebum Control Powder, is made of silica and a clay-type mineral that soak up excess oil once shaken into the liquid. Glacier water and carbonated water, niacinamide, centella asiatica and tea tree leaf water complete the formula.

Who it suits

Oily and combination skin, and anyone whose main concerns are visible pores and midday shine. It also works as a targeted step on an oily T-zone.

What it will not do

It cannot shrink pores permanently; pore size is largely genetic, and a toner can only improve how pores look. It is not an acne treatment, and it does not replace a moisturiser on dry areas.

Good to know

Shake well before every use so the powder mixes in. If your skin is new to exfoliating products, start once a day, wear SPF every day, and avoid using it alongside other strong exfoliants or retinoids at first. The formula contains fragrance.

1. Cleanse your face.
2. Close the lid and shake well until the liquid and powder layers are mixed.
3. Pour a suitable amount onto a cotton pad and wipe gently along the skin texture.
4. For intensive pore care, soak a cotton pad, place it on the area you want to target and leave it for a while.
5. In the morning, finish your routine with SPF.
