Authentic Kérastase in Cyprus
Kérastase is L'Oréal's professional salon haircare brand, and the single most useful thing to know before you buy is that it is organised by hair problem, not by product type. Each range is built to solve one concern. Pick the range that matches your hair first, then choose the shampoo (bain), mask (masque) and leave-in treatment within it. Which Kérastase range is right for you?
- Dull, rough hair that nothing seems to fix: Première. Most of Cyprus has hard water, and mineral build-up is the hidden reason many routines stop working. Start here.
- Dry hair that drinks up conditioner but does not snap: Nutritive.
- Weak hair that breaks or will not grow past a certain length: Résistance.
- Hair falling because it is breaking: Genesis, or Genesis Homme for men.
- Hair that has lost density over time: Densifique.
- Bleached, highlighted or very fair hair: Blond Absolu.
- Colour-treated hair: Chroma Absolu.
- Frizz that appears the moment you step outside: Discipline.
- Curls, waves and coils: Curl Manifesto.

How to build a Kérastase routine
Use the range's shampoo every wash and its conditioner on the lengths. Add the mask once or twice a week in place of conditioner, and finish with a leave-in serum or oil on damp hair. You do not need every product in a range to see a difference. Shampoo plus mask is the core, and the ritual sets bundle the essentials together.
If two concerns overlap, for example coloured hair that is also breaking, treat the more urgent one first. Strength before shine, and clean hair before treatment.
An honest note on hair loss
Genesis, Densifique and parts of Spécifique strengthen fragile hair and support the scalp. None of them treat medical hair loss. If you have noticed sudden shedding or thinning at the crown or temples, see a doctor first. We would rather tell you that than sell you a bottle that will not help.
