L'Oréal Professionnel Absolut Repair Molecular Rinse-Off Serum 250ml

L'Oréal Professionnel Absolut Repair Molecular Rinse-Off Serum is an in-shower repair treatment for damaged hair, used in place of your usual mask. L'Oréal Professionnel says it repairs hair from the inside and supports the hair's molecular structure.

How it works

L'Oréal builds the Absolut Repair Molecular range on a peptide bonder and five amino acids, which it says are carried separately into the hair fibre. This serum contains 2% Peptides Bonder plus five amino acids (glycine, arginine, serine, glutamic acid and tyrosine are in the ingredient list). You apply it after the Absolut Repair Molecular Shampoo, work it through the lengths and rinse.

Who it suits

Damaged hair of any texture, including bleached, lightened, coloured and natural hair that feels weak, rough or overly elastic.

What it will not do

It is a rinse-off step, so it will not protect from heat or control frizz through the day; use the Leave-In Mask for that. L'Oréal's repair results come from testing the full routine (shampoo, rinse-off serum and leave-in mask), and split ends still need a trim.

Good to know

1. Use instead of your usual mask, after the Absolut Repair Molecular Shampoo.
2. Detangle wet hair and divide it into two sections.
3. Press 2-3 pumps into your hands and spread evenly from lengths to ends of one section; repeat on the other.
4. Work the serum through the hair for 1-2 minutes.
5. Rinse thoroughly.
6. For best results, follow with the Absolut Repair Molecular Leave-In Mask.
