Anua Heartleaf 77% Clear Pad 160ml

Anua Heartleaf 77% Clear Pad is a dual-sided toner pad for oily, combination and sensitive skin that wants gentle daily exfoliation and pore care. Each 160ml jar holds 70 oversized pads soaked in a toner that Anua lists as 77% Houttuynia Cordata (heartleaf) extract.

How it works

One side of the 7cm pad is embossed for light exfoliation; the other side is smooth, for pressing the toner onto the skin like a mini sheet mask. The formula pairs heartleaf extract with gluconolactone, a PHA that loosens dead surface cells, plus centella asiatica extract and its compounds madecassoside and asiaticoside. Anua reports that in its own testing, pore volume fell by 27.27% after one week and sebum by 44.74% after four weeks.

Who it suits

Oily, combination and blemish-prone skin with visible pores and rough texture. Anua says the pads are dermatologist tested for sensitive skin and suitable for daily use, morning and evening. Anua also suggests them for the back and chest.

What it will not do

It does not treat acne or any skin condition, and it will not close pores permanently. Anua's test figures are averages, so individual results vary. It is a gentle daily pad, not a peel, and it will not fade established post-blemish marks quickly.

Good to know

Keep the pads away from the eyes and lips. Because the formula contains a PHA, use sunscreen during the day. Anua describes the pads as cruelty free; it does not describe them as vegan.
