Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil 200ml

Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil is a lightweight oil cleanser that removes makeup, sunscreen, sebum and impurities in one step, for all skin types. Anua says it is especially gentle for sensitive and blemish-prone skin, and it is the first step of a double cleanse.

How it works

Oil dissolves oil: the ester base and plant oils (sunflower, macadamia, olive, jojoba, grape seed, moringa) break down makeup, SPF and sebum. Emulsifiers turn the oil milky when you add water, so it rinses away without a greasy residue. Houttuynia cordata (heartleaf) extract sits alongside other botanical extracts such as turmeric root and neem.

Who it suits

According to Anua, testing shows it is suitable for all skin types, and it is especially gentle for sensitive and blemish-prone skin. Anua lists it as non-comedogenic and low irritation, with hypoallergenic and non-irritation tests completed. Anua also reports a 22.8% change in sebum amount in its testing.

What it will not do

It does not exfoliate and it will not treat acne or any skin condition. It is not a complete cleanse on its own; follow it with a water-based cleanser.

Good to know

The formula contains fragrance. If you prefer a fragrance-free oil, look at the Mild version. Anua states it has no artificial colour and is cruelty free. Always apply it to dry skin with dry hands for the best makeup removal.

1. Dispense 2-3 pumps into dry hands.
2. Massage gently onto dry skin in circular motions.
3. Add water and emulsify until makeup and dirt dissolve.
4. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
5. Follow with a water-based cleanser for a double cleanse.
