L'Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Protecting Concentrated Oil 50ml

L'Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Protecting Concentrated Oil 50ml is a leave-in oil for coloured, bleached, damaged and natural hair that helps protect against breakage, metal deposits and heat. It is the finishing step of the Metal Detox routine.

How it works

L'Oréal Professionnel says metal particles in water, such as copper, can build up in the hair fibre wash after wash and raise the risk of breakage and colour shift. The Metal Detox range uses Glicoamine, a molecule L'Oréal describes as small enough to track and neutralise metal inside the fibre. The oil helps protect the fibre from new metal deposits. In L'Oréal's instrumental tests on the oil, it gave up to 97% less hair breakage, up to 2x shinier hair and heat protection up to 230°C.

Who it suits

L'Oréal recommends it for all hair textures: coloured, damaged, bleached and natural hair. Suitable for women and men. It suits hair that is blow-dried or heat-styled often.

What it will not do

It is not a cleanser, so it will not remove metal already in the hair on its own: that is the shampoo's job. It will not repair split ends that are already there.

Good to know

1. Apply daily to dry or towel-dried hair.
2. Warm 1 or 2 pumps in the palm.
3. Spread evenly from mid-lengths to ends.
4. Do not rinse. Blow-dry or air-dry.
