L'Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Anti-Metal High Protection Cream 100ml

L'Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Anti-Metal High Protection Cream 100ml is a leave-in cream for coloured, bleached, damaged and natural hair that helps remove excess metal and protects against heat, UV and humidity. It is the daily leave-in step of the Metal Detox routine.

How it works

L'Oréal Professionnel says metal particles in water, such as copper, can build up in the hair fibre wash after wash and raise the risk of breakage and colour shift. The Metal Detox range uses Glicoamine, a molecule L'Oréal describes as small enough to track and neutralise metal inside the fibre. L'Oréal describes this cream as concentrated with 1% Glicoamine to remove metal and protect against new deposits. In L'Oréal's instrumental tests it gave up to 72 hours of hydration and anti-humidity, up to 3x more definition and up to 97% of colour brightness preserved after 8 weeks. L'Oréal also states heat protection up to 230°C (instrumental test after 10 applications) and protection against UV.

Who it suits

L'Oréal recommends it for all hair textures: coloured, damaged, bleached and natural hair. Suitable for women and men. It is a good fit for hair that is heat-styled or exposed to sun.

What it will not do

It does not cleanse metal out on its own as a shampoo would, and it will not fix colour that has already shifted. It is not a sunscreen for the scalp or skin.

Good to know

1. Apply daily to dry or towel-dried hair.
2. Start with 1-2 pumps and spread evenly from mid-lengths to ends.
3. Add more as needed for longer hair.
4. Do not rinse. Blow-dry or air-dry.
