L'Oréal Professionnel Aminexil Advanced Anti-Hair Loss Activator Serum is a leave-in scalp spray for hair prone to falling. L'Oréal Professionnel says it reduces hair loss and reinforces the hair fibre, for fuller and stronger hair in 6 weeks, based on a clinical study with 130 men over 6 weeks.

How it works

The serum contains 1.5% Aminexil, which L'Oréal says improves the collagen and fibronectin network around the root to reinforce root anchorage. In an instrumental test after one application, compared with a classic shampoo, the brand reports up to 87% stronger hair.

Who it suits

Men and women who notice more hair falling when they wash, brush or style. If your main concern is hair that looks thin or less dense, the brand's Serioxyl Advanced serum is aimed at density.

What it will not do

1. Apply at night on towel-dried hair, after your shower routine.
2. Divide the hair into 4 sections.
3. Spray 5 times into each section, evenly onto the scalp.
4. Massage gently with the soft part of your fingertips.
5. Do not rinse. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly.
