L'Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Aminexil Advanced Anti-Hair Fall Programme is a leave-in scalp treatment in 6ml ampoules for hair prone to falling. Choose a box of 10 or 42 ampoules.

How it works

Each ampoule is a lightweight scalp serum. L'Oréal Professionnel says its 1.5% Aminexil improves the reticulation of the collagen and fibronectin network around the root and reinforces root anchorage, helping to reduce hair loss. An Omega 6 derivative is added to help nourish the hair fibre. L'Oréal says it was developed with hair professionals and approved by dermatologists.

Who it suits

Men and women whose hair is shedding more than usual or falling more easily. It is applied to the scalp, so it suits any hair length or type.

What it will not do

It is a cosmetic scalp treatment, not a medicine. It does not regrow hair in bald areas and cannot treat hair loss with a medical cause (hormonal, nutritional or after illness): if your hair loss is sudden, patchy or heavy, see a doctor or dermatologist. It needs regular, consistent use; one or two ampoules will not show a result.

Variants: 10 x 6ml and 42 x 6ml. The formula contains denatured alcohol, so it dries quickly and leaves no residue to rinse. L'Oréal suggests applying it at night after your full shower routine.

1. Apply one full ampoule evenly to the scalp.
2. Massage in with the soft pads of your fingertips.
3. Leave on; do not rinse.
Pro tip from L'Oréal: apply at night, after your full shower routine.
In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly.
