Anua Heartleaf Pore Cleansing Oil Mild is a short-formula, fragrance-free cleansing oil for people with sensitive skin who want a gentle first step in a double cleanse. It lifts makeup, sunscreen and excess sebum, then rinses away with water.
How it works
The base is a blend of light emollient esters (ethylhexyl stearate, cetyl ethylhexanoate, triethylhexanoin) that dissolve oily residue such as makeup and SPF. An emulsifier (sorbeth-30 tetraoleate) turns the oil milky when you add water, so it rinses off without a heavy film. The formula also contains sunflower seed oil, rosemary leaf oil and Houttuynia cordata (heartleaf) extract.
Who it suits
Anua offers this as the milder version of its Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil. It suits sensitive skin, people who prefer fragrance-free products and anyone who wants a simple oil cleanser for daily use. Its ingredient list is much shorter than the original oil, which contains fragrance and a wider blend of plant oils.
What it will not do
It will not treat breakouts or any skin condition, and it does not exfoliate. On its own it is a first cleanse; follow it with a water-based cleanser to remove the remaining residue.
