Anua Azelaic Acid CICA Skin Soothing Moisturizer is a lightweight face moisturiser for sensitive and blemish-prone skin that wants to soothe dryness and calm the look of redness. Anua formulates it with 3% azelaic acid, centella asiatica (CICA), squalane and several forms of hyaluronic acid.

How it works

Azelaic acid is a mild acid that helps refine uneven texture; here it sits at a gentle 3%, lower than in Anua's 10% serum. According to Anua, the cream helps soothe skin stressed by dryness while visibly reducing redness. Centella extracts and madecassoside bring comfort, while squalane and hyaluronic acids hold moisture. Anua describes the texture as fast-absorbing, non-greasy and free of pilling, and lists the cream as non-comedogenic.

What it will not do

Good to know

Anua suggests using it morning and evening as the last step of your routine. If your skin is new to acids, start once a day and build up. Wear SPF 30 or higher during the day. The formula is glycerin-free but contains essential oils and fragrance components such as limonene, so patch test if your skin reacts to them.
