SOME BY MI Yuja Niacin Brightening Moisture Gel Cream 100ml

The SOME BY MI Yuja Niacin Brightening Moisture Gel Cream is a light, cooling gel moisturiser for dull or uneven-looking skin. SOME BY MI lists 90% yuja (citrus junos) fruit extract and 5% niacinamide, and recommends it for skin prone to the look of dark spots and skin that feels warm and dry.

How it works

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) at 5% helps skin tone look more even and supports the skin barrier. SOME BY MI says the yuja extract provides vitamin C, and the formula also lists three vitamin C forms (ascorbic acid, ascorbyl glucoside, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate), arbutin and glutathione for a brighter-looking complexion. Glacier water, tea tree leaf water and centella keep the gel fresh and comfortable on the skin.

Who it suits

Normal, oily and combination skin that wants hydration without heaviness, and anyone working on a dull look or post-blemish marks. SOME BY MI says it is dermatologically tested on sensitive skin.

What it will not do

It does not remove pigmentation or melasma, and results on the look of dark spots are gradual. It may feel too light as the only moisturiser for very dry skin in winter. It contains no SPF.

Good to know

Apply it as the last step of your routine, morning and evening, and use sunscreen in the daytime so the look of marks does not get darker. It contains citrus and tea tree oils with linalool and limonene, so patch test if you are sensitive to fragrance components.

1. Cleanse, then apply toner and serum if you use them.
2. Take an appropriate amount of the gel cream.
3. Spread it evenly over the face as the last step of your routine and pat in gently.
4. Use morning and evening; in the morning, follow with sunscreen.
