SOME BY MI AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Acne Clear Foam is a foaming face cleanser for oily, combination and blemish-prone skin. It belongs to SOME BY MI's AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle line and combines mild acids with the brand's Truecica blend.

How it works

A rich, soap-based lather (fatty acids with potassium hydroxide) and mild co-cleansers lift sebum, dirt and impurities from the skin and pores. The formula contains salicylic acid (BHA), gluconolactone (PHA) and citric acid (AHA), which help loosen dead skin cells while the foam is on the skin. SOME BY MI describes Truecica as its blend of mugwort, tea tree and centella asiatica extracts, used here to help balance the look of oiliness and calm skin that feels irritated.

What it will not do

It is a cosmetic cleanser, not an acne treatment: it does not cure acne, stop breakouts or clear comedones on its own, and a rinse-off product stays on the skin for only a minute or two. If breakouts are painful, widespread or persistent, see a doctor or dermatologist.

Good to know

Soap-based foams can feel drying on dry or sensitive skin; if your skin feels tight, use it once a day. Avoid the eye area and broken skin. It contains peppermint oil, so patch test if your skin is reactive. At first, don't combine it with other strong exfoliants or retinoids, and wear SPF daily.

1. Wet your face with lukewarm water.
2. Squeeze an adequate amount onto your palms and work it into a rich foam.
3. Massage gently over the face, avoiding the eye area and broken skin.
4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
