Anua 8 Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Gentle Gel Cleanser 150ml

Anua 8 Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Gentle Gel Cleanser is a low-irritation, fragrance-free gel face wash for daily use that cleans without leaving skin tight. Anua describes it as a deeply hydrating gel cleanser that helps balance skin pH.

How it works

Mild cleansing agents (coco-betaine and amino-acid-based surfactants such as sodium cocoyl alaninate and potassium cocoyl glycinate) lift dirt, oil and sweat. Eight forms of hyaluronic acid and glycerin attract water to the skin surface, squalane helps keep it comfortable, ceramide NP supports the moisture barrier and, according to Anua, ectoin helps soothe irritated skin. The gel builds a soft lather with water.

Who it suits

Anua says it is mild and gentle enough for a daily wash, morning and night. It suits normal, dry, combination and easily irritated skin that dislikes a squeaky-clean feel. Anua tested hydration retention, skin calming and skin pH over 72 hours.

What it will not do

It is not a makeup remover: long-wear makeup and water-resistant sunscreen need an oil cleanser first. It does not exfoliate and will not treat any skin condition.

Good to know

This is a separate product from Anua's 8 Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Gentle Foaming Cleanser. The gel focuses on squalane, ceramide, ectoin and pH balance; the foaming version uses a different cleansing base with panthenol and zinc PCA.

1. Dispense 2-3 pumps into wet hands.
2. Gently massage the gel onto your damp face in circular motions.
3. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
4. Use morning and night. When double cleansing, apply after fully emulsifying and rinsing your oil cleanser.
