MISSHA Airy Fit Sheet Mask Red Ginseng 19g

MISSHA Airy Fit Sheet Mask Red Ginseng is a single-use sheet mask soaked in a milky, cream-type essence with ginseng root extract, for dry and dull-looking skin that wants a richer, more cushioning mask. MISSHA's European description says it gives dry skin vitality and moisture; it is one of the cream-type Airy Fit masks, alongside Pearl and Shea Butter.

How it works

Unlike the watery Tea Tree, Green Tea and Cucumber masks, this essence is a light emulsion. Humectants (glycerin, trehalose, sodium hyaluronate, arginine) draw water into the surface layers, while emollients such as cetyl ethylhexanoate, caprylic/capric triglyceride and olive fruit oil soften and help reduce water loss during and after the 15-20 minutes of wear. Panax ginseng root extract is the named botanical, alongside licorice root and green tea leaf extracts.

Who it suits

Dry, normal and tired-looking skin, especially in colder months or after sun, wind or air conditioning. Very oily skin may prefer the lighter Tea Tree or Cucumber masks.

What it will not do

It will not firm or lift the skin, reduce wrinkles or improve circulation. The softer, more hydrated feel is temporary, and it does not replace your moisturiser or daily sunscreen.

Good to know

One 19g single-use sheet. MISSHA's label advises stopping use if irritation or a rash occurs, not using it on broken or damaged skin and avoiding the eye area. The essence contains fragrant plant oils (clary sage, patchouli, eucalyptus, orange and others), so patch test first if your skin is reactive.

1. After cleansing, prep your skin with toner.
2. Unfold the sheet and apply it evenly over your face, fitting it around the eyes and nose.
3. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then remove.
4. Gently pat the remaining essence into your skin with your fingertips until absorbed. No need to rinse.
