L'Oréal Professionnel Silver Shampoo 300ml

L'Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Silver Shampoo is a purple shampoo for grey, white and light blonde hair that turns yellow or brassy. It cleanses and tones in one step and is the first step of the Silver range.

How it works

L'Oréal Professionnel says the shampoo contains magnesium to help combat yellow tones for a clarified, radiant result. The deep purple colour comes from violet pigment (Acid Violet 43), which neutralises the look of yellow and brassiness. The formula also includes amino acids (arginine, glycine, aspartic and glutamic acid) and a conditioning guar derivative.

Who it suits

Natural grey and white hair, and light blonde, highlighted or lightened hair that looks yellow between salon visits. It suits men and women.

What it will not do

It is not sulfate-free (it contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate) and it contains dimethicone, a silicone. It will not lighten hair or cancel strong orange tones on darker blondes and brunettes. Overuse on very porous hair can leave a lilac tint.

Good to know

The pigment is strong, so wash your hands after use and avoid the eyes. On very lightened hair, start by alternating with your usual shampoo and watch the result. 1. Distribute evenly through wet hair.
2. Lather.
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Avoid contact with the eyes; if it happens, rinse immediately and thoroughly.
5. Follow with Silver Conditioner.
