L'Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Absolut Repair Shampoo

L'Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Absolut Repair Shampoo is a nourishing shampoo for dry, damaged and over-processed hair. It is the cleansing step of the classic Absolut Repair range with Gold Quinoa and protein.

How it works

L'Oréal formulates the shampoo with Gold Quinoa and protein for what it calls a resurfacing effect on damaged hair. In L'Oréal's instrumental tests, the shampoo used with the Absolut Repair Instant Resurfacing Mask gave up to 77% less surface damage after five applications, and the shampoo with the Resurfacing Golden Masque gave up to 7x more shine compared with a classic shampoo.

Who it suits

Dry, damaged or over-processed hair from colouring, lightening or heat styling, in medium to thick textures. Suitable for men and women.

What it will not do

It works on the surface of the hair: it is not a bond-building treatment for hair that snaps after bleaching (for that, see Absolut Repair Molecular). It is not sulfate-free; the main cleanser is Sodium Laureth Sulfate. L'Oréal's figures come from the shampoo used with a mask, not the shampoo alone.
