Kevin Murphy Volume and Style Shield is a three-step set for blow-dried volume: a heat-protecting foam, a lightweight volumising spray and a flexible finishing hairspray.

How it works

The set, as listed in the store, includes HEATED.DEFENSE 150ml, ANTI.GRAVITY SPRAY 150ml and SESSION.SPRAY FLEX 400ml.

Order of use: HEATED.DEFENSE on damp hair before heat styling (Kevin.Murphy states heat protection up to 232°C / 450°F), then ANTI.GRAVITY SPRAY, a lightweight non-aerosol spray that adds volume and shine, then blow-dry, and finish with SESSION.SPRAY FLEX, a fast-drying hairspray with a flexible, humidity-resistant hold.

Who it suits

Fine or flat hair that is blow-dried and needs lift without a stiff finish.

What it will not do

The set builds volume and a flexible hold; it does not give a firm, locked-in hold or treat damage. ANTI.GRAVITY SPRAY is a limited-edition design, so the bottle may differ from older photos.

Step 1, HEATED.DEFENSE: apply to damp or towel-dried hair before heat styling, distributing the foam through the areas exposed to heat. Do not rinse.
Step 2, ANTI.GRAVITY SPRAY: spray through damp hair, concentrating where volume is needed.
Blow-dry, lifting the hair away from the roots.
Step 3, SESSION.SPRAY FLEX: mist over the finished style for a flexible hold.
