Kevin Murphy HYDRATE-ME.WASH 250ml is a super-smoothing, hydrating shampoo for dry, dull and parched hair.

How it works

Kevin.Murphy calls it a nourishing hydration pick-me-up packed with antioxidants. Its hero ingredients are Kakadu plum, one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C that helps smooth the hair surface to lock in moisture, panthenol (vitamin B5) for elasticity and shine, and shea butter, which gives moisture from roots to tips and is noted as especially helpful for processed and heat-treated hair. Wet the hair, massage the shampoo into a lather, rinse and repeat if you like.

Who it suits

Normal to dry hair, hair that has been dulled by dry or harsh climates, and anyone starting the HYDRATE regimen. Pair it with the RINSE for a complete hydrating wash day.

What it will not do

It cleanses and hydrates, but it is not a treatment: for very dry lengths you will still want a conditioner or masque. Because it contains hydrolysed milk protein it is not suited to anyone avoiding animal-derived ingredients.

Good to know

250ml (the brand also sells 40ml, 500ml and 1000ml). The fragrance is a radiant patchouli blend with bright citrus and grounding floral notes. The ingredient list includes cleansers such as sodium cocoyl isethionate, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate and sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, so check it if you avoid specific surfactants. Formulas can vary by region.
