KERASTASE developed Première around the discovery that damaged hair is more porous and can absorb three times more calcium from water than natural hair. This excess calcium can accumulate within and around damaged fibres, contributing to stiffness, dullness and increased breakage.

Concentré Décalcifiant Ultra-Réparateur uses an 8% concentration of pure acids, including Citric Acid and Glycine, to provide a dual action: remove excess calcium and reinforce damaged hair.

Unlike a traditional conditioner or mask, this is a pre-shampoo treatment. It is applied to wet hair, left for five minutes and not rinsed before shampooing. Première Bain Décalcifiant Réparateur is layered directly over it to maximise the decalcifying and repairing routine.
